What's a Squid?

I've been reading posts the last few days and have noticed several times people referring to "lessers" as squids. What is a squid?
 
This was covered in last weeks lesson. If you missed that day please get another students notes and copy.

Any of various marine cephalopod mollusks of the genus Loligo and related genera, having a usually elongated body, ten arms surrounding the mouth, a vestigial internal shell, and a pair of triangular or rounded fins.

SQUID IS THING ON THE RIGHT! next to a squid!. That idiot in front of you. Your close to the edge and you say look at that A@@hQLE. That be da squid.

A manuever only someone of squidish mentality could fester up.
