I'm thinking about buying the new '09 GSXR 1000, as I want something that is lighter. I wanted to get your opinion on a realistic price for my '08 Busa. I am at work and can't get you a pic, but here is a list of what it has, from front to back:

ALL stock parts perfect and come with bike, 871 TOTAL miles on bike, blue/gold color. Pink slip in hand.

New PP2ct frnt/back
fresh fork re-valve/spring from GP susp.
HH pads
Steel line
Brembo M/c
Puig screen
Heli bars
No drill frame sliders
new top triple clamp (to raise forks for tighter handling)
Tank pads (no slide)
tail tidy for plate
Yosh full carbon
Power comander
new Penske triple clicker shock w/adjustable ride height (might try to put on new bike, just paid 1100.00, but COULD include it in sale)
1" riser links (dog bones)
Pro dyno tuned w/print out for 190hp,
fresh synthetic oil change (oil changed at 400 miles, 600 miles, 800 miles)

My Brother it saddens me to say this.... But, a person would be lucky to get half the money spent on the additions and maybe close to $9600 for the bike itself! The darn economy is killing the bike market. But, hey I wouldn't rule out the probability of you finding someone in the market for your ride set up with all the goodies for maybe $10.8-11k
Best Guess of course

You might due better piecing the aftermarket goodies out apart from the bike

What he said ^

Like the others have said, sell it stock and the price will be whatever a buyer is willing to pay. The situation for selling a next to new bike is however quite bad right now, everybody keep tight to their wallets at the moment, knowing shock-low prices is around the corner due to the bad world economy.

Also keep in mind that the GSX R1000 is no near as comfy, or powerful in midrange, were the Busa is almost turbo-like. The 1k Gixxer is of course a far better bike on track if this is in priority, or as a stunt machine.

I have had a GSX R1000 myself for about 5 years; I bought it new in 2003. I sold it this summer and have not regret I did. Perhaps you also have used a sport bike before and feel better driving those, in such case there is no risk buying one but if not, borrow one and ride if for a day before you decide. Sport bikes can be a bit uncomfy unless you are small.
