Whats up guys I am considering buying a busa. I know very little about these bikes all I know is they were the fastest production bike in the world. Also I have heard that the 1999-2000 are the best. What is the most I should pay ect. Is a busa better than a ninja?
Thanks,
Cameron

Welcome to the board. You have entered the most useful site you can find on busa's. Whether or not the busa is good bike to buy for you, only you can make that decision. I will invite you to read the pinned topics in the new owners forum. How long have you been riding? There are many factors that will play into your decision. The busa is a very powerful and fast bike, thus they are usually more expensive to maintain. What is your budget? Any year busa will make a good bike, and there are varing prices on them as well. We are not a "busa" only oRg, and welcome riders from any group. If you are a new rider, there are many members on this board that can answer questions and help you get off on the right start. Again, welcome. Give us some information to work with, and we can point you in the right direction.

Welcome to the board!

Personal opinion to follow:

Great bike and only one in a long line I have owned over a lot of years.. certainly one of the most fun following my dirt bikes.

Purchase: IMO, New is the only way to go.. not saying USED is bad, but my bikes are like a toothbrush, on owner only

I currently have a ktm 400exc and trail ride and occasionaly race this would be my first street bike. Yes i do understand how fast they are. There run like mid 9s in the 1/4

Hi, I just got my busa 2 weeks ago so I can't advise you much but the thing that got me to go this direction: lower RPM at cruising speeds, comfortable riding position, and the fact that I will never look to big for this bike, hehe. The name and prestige were factors as well.

Welcome! Use the force to make your decision. The force will guide you, and if you feel you are not ready for the Busa... force yourself to wait!

I paid $5400 for an 05' busa with cosmetic damage which i thought was a good deal since 01' to 03' bikes were going for 6 to 7k. I figure I will be putting another $800 to $1000 into the cosmetics for starters. So it might be worth it to spend another 1k for the initial purchase.

It's just like having a new baby and raising it! You will spend every moment thinking about it, and every penny you get on her. You will love her and care for her like no other.
