Whats up with the 2000 dyno numbers??

I'm not calling anyone a liar but until we get a little more proof what does everyone think about these 2000 Busas with over 160 rwhp out of the box? Suzuki can make some quiet changes to stay ahead of the 12R, but did anyone hear of anything being done?

I posted my rwhp for my 99 Hayabusa at 1,900 mile dyno and we got 159-160rwhp using a dyno150,only different was before the dyno I replaced the oil with golden spectro blend and cleaned and oiled the chain. No mods to the bike just plain stock.

Most of us that have '00 Busa's don't have enough mileage to be properly broken-in. Therefore no dyno numbers yet. I promise to dyno my stock bike as soon as I can.

As far as I can tell the bike is identical to the '99. Power changes are rumor only.
Perhaps wishful thinking on the part of owners.

just changing the a/f ratio from the stock emission choaked mix has to be worth a few hp .does anyone know what the stock a/f ratio is .i am curius i'll bet its 14-14.5 or so.

Did Lee do any tuning or dial-in before he did the stock dyno run. ie Set TPS, balanced the carbs etc. I bet Lee could find 7-8 hp without too much effort. What we're seeing is the difference between a factory production line tune and a Lee Shierts setup. ???

I don't know what if any adjustments were made... I was so happy to hear the news I really didn't care what the circumstances were. All that's water over the bridge now because I believe that Lee gets the same horsepower figures in the end no matter if you make 148 stock or 162...

If you guys would like to see actual dyno chart for a stock 2000 Busa e mail me at Gixx1300R@aol.com.My stock 99 Busa makes a little more than 160 stock as a matter of fact,my stock Busa makes just as much horsepower as on that has an aftermarket exhaust,BM filter and that has been remapped.Roll ons that we have done shows my bike is faster from about 3rd gear to topend. Both bikes are gearded the same and both riders weigh about the same.I also have dyno and torque charts

Yngve .. You got me.. Throttle Bodies... Yes I do know my Busa is fuel injected. I balance it with a "Carbtune II" hence the literary sloppiness.

Just to let ou all know you can easly change the HP and Tourque readings by doing a few small things, My 99 went from 151.7 hp and 95.5 torque to 156.7 hp and 99.4 torque.
All I did was run in 5th and remove the airbox lid. My bike is bone stock added 5hp just doing those two items also who runs the dyno another busa had 153.6 and 96 torque doing the same day untill we mover the bike aroud on the dyno then had 161.7 hp and 101 torque.I still don't like rear wheel hp and torque readings what matters is can you use the power down the track or on the street.
If I had 300 hp and some kid on a moped beats me what can I say.the moped faster? No I need to learn to use what I have and not worry about Hp and Torque. MY.02
