search feature on this site?  i was trying to find the plus and minus of going to a 200 series tire but no luck with the search.  i know this subject was just discussed recently too, like a month ago.  anyways, for those that went with 200, are there any problems i.e., clearance, durability, etc.?  what are the price difference between the two?  i have the bridgestone bt 020 now and will be getting the same tire because the front is still good.  i would also like to know how much does the oem chain and sprockets cost when you guys buy them from your local stealers? i'll call my stealer when they open on tuesday and compare the prices. any help would be appreciated.

Well as you already know the stock BT 56 actualy measures 198 mm. So the even though it says 190 it is closer to 200. You will be fine with a 200 tire. If you are used to a TRUE 190 aftermarket tire. I think i heard it will turn slower or something but if you have been stock your fine. I just ooredered a set of diablos with a 200 rear.

I just put a set of Metzeler Sportec M1's on mine with the 200 rear. Excellent grip. Put on a new chain last year. I have the D.I.D. x-ring chain. The local "stealer" charges 200+ dollars for that chain and I paid $135 for the same chain at Newportcycleparts.com. The have real good prices and a huge selection of parts.

i have a 200 series d207 and i dont notice any difference between the stock bt56.
i think i will always stay with a 200 ... plus i like the look of a big back tire.

i did have the m1's on mine.. but i had a 180.. Ive just put on the new bridgestone BT014 and Im gonna see how they do. they cant be all that bad if the 1k's are coming from the factory with them. if u go with the 200 this time... next time try a 180. u will only notice it in the corners on qwikly it falls into the corner..
