How do you all get the front end up? Power/ clutch or what? I love the surge in 1st off a power wheelie not so keen on the 80mph, 2nd gear bit! Over to you............?? Had her come up in 3rd the other day doing about 130mph when I wasn't expecting it, I was over-taking a line of cars and was trying to get back in as another bike was coming towards me, I started to flick her back in then I realised she was airbourne..... God! I love this bike!

I took off real fast in first gear and before I could shift to second, the front wheel was in the air. The second time, I actually tried to bring the front up, I shifted to second, and downshifted to first, popped the clutch and the front wheel went up without a problem. It's amazing for such a large bike to wheelie. I've talked about it,
now I must go out and try it again. See Ya.

I shift my bodyweight towards the rear of bike, have the bike around 4500, and give her the juice. The Abuser rides sweet wheelies. Easy to carry the front wheel. I shift my weight back to avoid getting rear wheel spin and take a little load off the front end. Always have that right foot over the rear brake... never know when you might get a face full of tach and speedo!!!

The best method I have found for getting it to mono in second gear I learned from NICK (Gixxer1206).

Rolling along in second 70-80mph or so. Pull in the clutch rev up to 9000 rpms and dump the clutch. Front will rise nice and smooth.

In first its real easy scoot back on seat, roll on throttle hard, shutoff throttle and whack it back open just as the front springs start to rebound. This fork action will make it easier to loft the front and allow it to come up earlier than with power alone. Normally you will be between 4000-6500rpms to do this type of wheelie.

I have to agree with gsx1300rguy. I can't use all the throttle in first or it will flip over. Second gear is a bit more of a challenge. I've gotten it up a couple times at about 65 or so by blipping the throttle to load the forks and then yanking on it. It depends how much gas is in the tank. I was near empty one time, and it came up almost as hard as a first gear roll-on wheelie, so I had to ease up or flip over, but when the tank is full, I've had trouble getting more than a 6" skip off the pavement. I need to get use to it more as I don't want to make a mistake at 80mph where 2nd gear wheelies really start to take off. I've never tried 3rd.

I've tried a couple times to do stoppies, but there didn't seem to be enough front tire (stock) grip to do this.

okay, okay. i've regularly done second gear 80 mph POWER wheelies. all you need is a straight stretch of pavement, a slight upgrade, and big balls. steady at 80 mph, steady, not accelerating or slowing, no bouncing, just steady, then, slide to the back of the seat, hit the throttle and hold on. works every time for me. then speed shift into third once you've gotten it to the balance point. it's great. and as far as first gear wheelies, c'mon guys, just twist the throttle at any rpm. it WILL come up. no bouncing necessary. all that downshifting and clutch popping is hard on the drive train. just have faith. the busa delivers.

Personally, I prefer to blip the throttle and pull on the bars to do my wheelies. In 1st gear, anything above 4000 rpm and in 2nd 6000 or more. The scariest thing is how fast this bike builds speed going through the gears on one wheel.

Oh yea ! It a real rush to take of from a stop, pulling the front wheel and then to hear the front wheel bark as it lands back on the pavement. Oh you get a real grasp of how fast you were really going, or how fast your accelerated to with the front wheel off the ground.

Kinda like a plane landing, heehehhhehe If I only had wings I think I could fly.

I don't know about all you guys I have yet to have a hard time geting the front end up no clutch needed just hold it wide open over 4000 in first it will come up for anybody witch is very cool for such a big bike!
but I am only a finely tuned 130lbs I don't know if that has anything to do with it!
