For the bright sports fans who found my lil' logic links too lame brained,
here's one a notch up on the curiosity clipboard.
The Official String Theory Web Site
But for the fab few who exhibit delusions of grandeur about their threads,
this will be more laughing stock. That's Ok. Be happy:

Looks like a good read. My wife has read quite a lot about quantum physics, and her knowledge in this area is far superior to mine. Maybe this will help me catch up a little.

Thanks Phil.

Not to thread jack, but because threads of this nature generally get quickly sentenced to obscurity by the everyday mundane random thoughts we collectively share, are you familiar with the Mandelbrot Set? If not I think you'll enjoy.

Math can be beautiful.

A series that provides some history and insight into the Mandelbrot Set.

That is pretty cool, there is no telling what is out there waiting to be discovered.

Heard about Mandelbrot, but first time seeing the two vids. Thanks very much, really
enjoyed them. Going to look in to Mandelbrot further. Funny, I was going to include
the Einstein quote at the start of this thread. But I like to keep'em brief. Here's a
vid about the plasma universe.
and pic of my old fencing teammate Astronmer Halton Arp:
just google Halton Arp, lot of good reading

I don't know if I embed the YouTube video if it will automatically play a series of videos, so [URL="
is a link[/URL] to part two in the six part Arthur C. Clark series on YouTube. This way the video clips will automatically play in order.

wow....be right back. I'm going to need a couple blotters to get into this thread.

wow, such a simple formula but goes on and on for infinity. Thats amazing! And would make a great background at a rave party.

I am glad you guys are on top of this. Keep up the good work you all are better off figuring this stuff out and letting us know what you've come up with.

I'm mostly good at getting headaches after a concerted effort to enlighten my ignorance. :banghead:

Wow! Very interesting! It may seem weird to some when I say this, but while watching those videos I felt even closer to God. It's almost as if we're stumbling on the binary code used by God to create nature.

I feel like I understand what Einstein mean't when he said:

"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

Good stuff!
