Nothing wrong with 4,000. I change it every 3,000.

(Ride_or_Fish @ Jun. 18 2007,11:53) 700 miles, then every 1,500.
That's just ridiculous, but its your money. Not having to follow a warranty service schedule, running full synth and changing oil and filter every 5,000 miles is also fine. Otherwise, why not follow the manufacturers schedule?

(dantheta2man @ Jun. 18 2007,21:45) nice... im thinking of changing it every 4,000 then... this way i can ride a little bit longer!!

3500-4000 and you only have to do the filter every other oil change

I was thinking of going to full syn at 1500-2000 miles. Than going every 3-3500 miles.

This okay?

Which full syn would you guys recommend?

Why change it at or less than a dino oil service interval if you're going to full synth?

"They" say you can double the miles on full synthetic. 6K. Of course you need to think about how you ride and the conditions you ride in IMHO.

I switched to full synthetic but I change mine at 2000k. The reason?...... cause I'm bored and have no life.

On syn oil. 5000-6000 is OK. But the start of every riding season. If 5000 is not hit.
