If you cannot ride having a Gixxer 1k doesn't mean your the fastest thing out there.

I was helping the Bro-N-Law out with post wwinter maintenance this afternoon. After changing the oil I took his FZ6 out for a spin to warm the chain for cleaning and lubing.
A fellow on said Gixxer pulls up and starts jumping wanting to race. I point to the FZ and wave him off. He follows me to BNL's house. I jump on the Busa and rejoin him. Long story short by the time I hit 2nd gear he was about 10 lengths back and it was over.

All I have is pipe, pc, filter and MAYBE slightly above average skills. No way I should run off and leave a 07 1k like that.

You should've really embarred him on the FZ then just to give him a little perspective.

yeah, you shouldn't be that far ahead of him in 2nd. I would think he would be ahead of you and you would catch him later.

yeah its amusing sometimes. especially the kids who REALLY dont know and try to run with you on an F4i or something....

Haha, nice. I had a guy try to race me (08 Busa) in a Ford Focus on my way to work today.
:spank::spank::spank:

The Busa is a hyperbike. Did you remember to reverse your direction and travel the same velocity back, or are you posting this from the not to distant future? :laugh:

Yes Sir as a matter of fact I did. I did wave at the guy on the way back past.:laugh:

LOL seriously though, dont even get me started on focus owners. I know one who actually has the focus logo TATTOOED ON HIS ARM!

Now hes gonna remember what an idiot he is for the rest of his rotten life.

Yeah. this is the same guy that bought a brand new yamaha R6 last year with NO riding experience of any kind. I had to ride it home from the dealership for him because he didnt have his permit. He kept it at my house because he didnt want his mom and dad to know he bought it (hes 25 and still lives at home). When he finally got his permit he went out of my driveway and hit the curb on the opposite side of the street and laid it down. Wrecked it 3 more times last summer, then it got repoed.

come to think if it, maybe it was him that tried to race you. We tried to at least get him to keep his helmet. It seemed fitting that he wear one at all times. Plus it kept him from licking the window in the car...

seriously.... I know a guy like that....he has a zx6 and it hasn't been repoed YET, but everything else is the same.

So, BusaBret, do you think he stalled the gixxer out or something? Seems like most of those guys either stall out or ride the clutch so much they barely get anywhere. Or sometimes they just do a backflip.

You "did" go back and get the FZ just to be a good sport right ????......right ???? :oldcool:
