where is coolant supposed to be while bike is cold?

OK, is the coolant supposed to be at the LOW line when the bike is cold? then once it reaches operating temp and expands it should be at the FULL line..correct?
 
If you're talking about the overflow can you should keep the amount of fluid below the full line at all times hot or cold.
 
Take a funnel and pour in until you reach the full line. If you are experiencing fluctuation in levels you may have a bit of air in the system. If not, then this is normal,, just top it off after a run. Don't over fill. If you do - unbolt from the side and pour out and re-level off.
 
yea mine is at the min line then after a nice long ride it comes up just about to the full line. i just looked at it now though and it's kinda in between. meh im happy no over heating problems or anything.
