Where to get a swingarm socket?

I've searched around and Schnitz is $50 shipped, and BoostbySmith is on backorder. And I don't even want to talk about the stealership!

Any ideas on where to get a decently priced socket?
(And I don't have the resources to make my own.)

Are you talking about to remove the axle bolt for the rear tire or the pivot bolt in the center of the frame? If you are talking bout the rear tire socket, it's a 36mm socket. I got mine at Autozone. If you are talking about the other nut, I can't help you. Sorry, GONE

Check out Park Tools or your local bicycle dealer for a 36mm headset wrench. Good quaility and good price.

I made one with a dremmel.

I was talking about to remove the swingarm. Not the rear axle. I may in fact try to make one with a metal cut off wheel. Hmm. Interesting.

For those who have made it, did you use a 32 mm socket, and cut it down?

Yes 32mm. Made a template by pressing the nut with clay to get the layout of the pins to cut. Made 2 actually. The 1st one was kind of rough, but it worked just fine.

Buy a good quality socket! And good luck!

part number for the snap on tool? gotta match my other tools, lol

i had a 13/16" spark plug socket that the bottom side is allen shaped, fit my gen 1 like i glove, i welded a old socket into the other end of it put it on the ratchet worked like a charm

All the tools you need to remove that and the motor can be found here...

Suzuki tools, Yamaha tools, chassis tools, steering head tool, Gixxer tool, toolsets

I bought everything through this guy because he offers a lifetime warranty if something breaks... so i don't need to worry about making my tools, i just order them
