Which aftermarket clutch basket?

I have a 2001 model year (with yosh RS-3 slipons, K&N filter, small airbox mod, GI-PRO ATRE, stock sprockets) and it does this "slip, grip" when around 8000rpm in 2nd. It feels like I grabed and dumped the clutch. This repeats every couple of hundred rpm from that point (extreemly annoying). It did this before the small box mod and the ATRE. And it only occurs in 2nd.
.
A friend of mine who dragraces several modifyed suzuki and kawi bikes told me he's seen this when the clutch basket is going bad. What do you guys suggest as far as a durable replacement? I have been looking into Muzzy, Falicon, APE and MPS. I would prefer something with the "flywheel" portion and ring gear to be reinforced as well as some heavy duty springs but none of the web sites seem to offer this kind of package. Any suggestions?

(GoldenChild @ Jun. 08 2007,23:32) Sounds more like tranny than a clutch basket,BFIIK...
+ 1 on the tranny

The stock basket should be fine with your mods

What components in the tranny would cause this?
.
Any aftermarket parts I can install to help (read: stronger than stock)?
.
I bought a barnett carbon fibre clutch kit which I had planned on installing with a set of hyper plates and doing some sort of basket upgrade (seeing as my friend said the basket/hub is the weak point). I would also like to do the basket becasue I don't like the back-torque-limiter installed in there either, I am a proponent of throttle blips on downshift anyway, any suggestions as to what I should do?

I still would be interested in any input you guys have on after market parts, I was kinda thinking along the lines of new shift forks, back cut trans (both ways, road race style), pro shift star and a Falicon basket, am I on the right road here? What exactly would cause bent shift forks? I bought the bike used, it isn't my first bike (I havn't done anything abusive to it that I know of), any ideas? Are there stronger than stock shif t forks avalible?

there's a couple of threads on this all ready. I believe one of the fixes is to recut 2nd gear.

Our billet basket assembly has stronger springs and and a heavier backing plate. They are also on the shelf ready for an immediate swap out.

Cool, I'm sold. I knowticed you guys do tranny service, I'm local here in Southern California, do you guys need me to bring you the complete engine or do I have to remove the tranny first for you work on it? If I supplyed the shift forks what would it cost to have thoese installed while the tranny is appart?
