which chain/gear set up

I have an '02 Busa and am on the 3rd to last notch on the swing arm before it is all stretched out. I need advice on the best chain and gear set up for my bike. I don't do stunts just fast riding. Looking for brand,price and where to buy also

I'm changing to a 16/42 combo , seems to very popular ( but very wheelie prone) . As for a chain i'm still looking for the best one . Check out schnitz racing if you want stock combos or wait and you should get more input soon .

The combo of gears depends on how much topend you want to loose. I know the stock 17/40 can be sluggish. The 16/40 is very good. I know you will start having trouble with cush drive when you make changes so buy some extra ones. They are cheap. As far as where to buy really depends on which one you go with. Shnitz does have some qaulity stuff.

My dealer says that 17/43 is much better than 16/40,
you'll obtain the same result but chain works better on 17 tooth sprocket.

I have heard good and bad about the 16th tooth front. Some say it is too small and stresses the output shaft and others say they never had a problem. It depends on who you talk to.

42 rear ( works for me ) but might go with a 16 in the front this summer?

Same here, 42 in the rear...love it...wheelies when I want it too and doesn't when I don't...but to be honest I haven't try any other gearing so.....maybe I should just sit down...haahaahaa.

From I've been told, the best chain for everyday street use and strength on the track is a EK530ZVX. I'm going with that chain and 16/42 gears. I do drag race, so just depends what you want to do with it. The chain is defintely worth the extra money. With the kind of torque a Busa makes, don't take any chances.
