Honda polish. Yes, honda, but great stuff. Pledge does a good job, but there is alot of debate on it stripping the wax off parts.

I would say any kind of soap is nice to get off grease grime. Not dishsoap. I forget the name but its meguires car soap and its purple...you can get it at autozone. its good stuff  Pledge for the shineee

Well yes you would was your stuff and use pledge as a detailer in between waxes. I dont believe pledge strips off the wax because pledge itself has wax like properties? ???

I just bought some Meguires spray wax for motorcycles.. Probably the same stuff they use for cars but works the same.. Also, i used a carnuba wax and polish by a company called Poorboys on the rear fairing.this stuff goes on easy and is great. I haven't washed the bike yest but Meguires soap and wax/polish should do the trick..

I'm still baffled about using Pledge on the bike. I thought that was for wood?

Pledge is what I've been using to keep her shiny. I don't know if it strips wax since I've never used any kind of wax on her. I use it on everything from the plastics, exhausts, swingarm, wheels, anything I want shiny. Oh yeah.....helmet and leather jacket, too.
Some pics for you. I really like pic #4. It really shows how shiny the bike is.
Pics #6 and #7 are about 80 miles away from home.
In case you're wondering how old she is, she'll be 3 years old on September 27.

The Lemon kind. It's the yellow can. I recommend microfiber towel. Works best.

I use Pledge on rotor carrier, too.

I owned a detailing company for ten yrs here in Florida .
You need to establish a relationship with a wholesale supplier first . If you don't you will not get what you need and also pay too much .
Meguiars makes products commercially packaged in larger quantities and cheaper prices for detailers . A detail supply company will have wash mits, scratch pads for bug removal , wheel cleaners , cleaner waxes , carnauba wax for new cars and all else you will need . Open an account with one and it will cut down on your out of pocket expenses .

What experience do you have ?
Can you toothbrush seams on a car without leaving marks on the paint ?
I used a 16lb orbital buffer for everything not a high speed polisher .
An orbital will do a much better job .

Remember there is a difference in washing a car and detailing it . I would spend a minimum of three hours on a car and charge upward of $300 for some .
Don't limit yourself to just cars either .
I used to do boats and alot of planes .
A fresh waxed plane smooth to the touch will get better mileage .
Also used to buff alot of fascias on the front of businesses .

Thanks... you mean the rotor surface where the pad comes in contact with the rotor?

No he means the black part , the carrier not the disc itself . Don't want to spray anything on disc itself as it may cause loss of ability to stop .
