Whining sound when key is on

Anyone notice a whining sound when the key is on and the motor is not running. It's not the fuel pump, I think it's the throttle body actuator because when I move the throttle slightly the sound changes a bit. Just wondering if this is normal for a ride by wire system.

Have you narrowed down area of source? I have a low whirring (like a fan) sound that starts immed with key turn & conts after fuel pump primes. Started randomly a cpl wks ago but 9/10 starts now. Sound is coming from nose area. Immed saw/heard the HID fan. Hi-beam is still silent. This was today & actually 1 of reasons I'm here tonight.
Good luck.

Easy enough to eliminate it's one of the rad fans: pull a fairing

So I investigated further and it is definitely coming from under the tank. The normal whoosh as the fuel pump pressurizes the system which then stops. Then a faint whirring sound which changes directly with movement of the throttle. At first I thought I may have taken too much slack from the throttle cable because it was really loose from the factory. Loosened it up a bunch and heard the same sound. I'm guessing it is the servo motor for the throttle body and is probably not a problem. This is a drive by wire system that actually has throttle cables that go to the throttle sensor which informs the ECU of the throttle position. Don't know why Zuk didn't just build it into the throttle assy like other manufacturers do. Maybe just to keep the feel. I will keep an eye on it and let you guys know if there are any issues.

Well, being italian, the solution is.. "she musta run off with her jocker..aint seen her. go see joey d"
