I just want to hear this thing rumble!I saw one a few years ago and talked to the rider......he loved it and said before owning it he always rode Harleys....
He did say that it's very balanced but is getting heavy for him to move around the garage or in parking lots....
I recall the one I saw had a robust sound to it....it had a 327 Chevy engine in it......I just want to hear this thing rumble!
And probably quicker..... I do love a big chevy motor! Still have to ride one of these and a chopper to fullfill some stuff on the bucket list. Not sure I'd like to own a true chopper as my back just could not take it.I recall the one I saw had a robust sound to it....it had a 327 Chevy engine in it......
Oddly enough it was far less obnoxious than most Harleys with aftermarket pipes....

I appreciate the shared experience, probably exactly what I expected LOL. I think some of them look pretty damn cool but like you said tolerable for a few hours... nah. I know the prices on them dropped x50 from their original selling price. But then again, most people just want boring teslas now.I've ridden choppers.
They are about what you would expect too, they glide down the highway with ease, and track straight without any problems.
If they have good rear shocks or an air ride, your back will be fine, and the front is so long that they soak up bumps easily.
One thing that did suprise me, was the hardtails(no rear suspension).
I was taking a friend's out for what I planned to be a few hours(he didn't care).
When I saw bumps or rough road coming, I cringed, but suprisingly the fat rear tire(300mm if I remember correctly) soaked them all up with ease, I couldn't belive it...then suddenly, bam, a back breaking jolt, then another.
On a road that looked perfectly smooth, there were bumps that were not visible, and it was those that jarred my back and were really painful.
There was no inclanation of when they were coming either.
It was so bad, that after just a few miles I brought it back, I couldn't ride it any further.
It also accelerated alot better than it slowed down and stopped.
I never had any real intrest in choppers, but rarely turn down a chance to ride anything, especially something different.
With good suspension, I can see cruising one around for a little while, but otherwise...I'll pass, lol

Hi. Had one wish I had pics. Also had a 1965 chevy van. It was as long as my van. Had a Amen hard tail frame whitch we cut into 3 pieces. We extended the rear 6 inches and the neck 12 inches with a 25 inch over springer with extened rockers witch put the front wheel out 10 more inchrs. It had a 750 punched out to 810cc honda. My friend had a HD with a skull mouled in to the front of the tank. We went to many ISCA Shows on the N E coast whitch we won every show we were in best of class best paint even best of show. It was the 1st time in an ISCA that a motorcycle won best of show. We also roade the bikes all the time between shows.

I couldn't even imagine where you'd ride that thing. Certainly not on the roads I travel. It would be a mission just to get it out of my garage and onto the street!
This is where I was the other day, you really appreciate running Metzeler Sportec tires when on these roads.
Bump the quality up to HD
