Thinking about climbing back on,thought I might start out on 4 wheels instead of two,see if I can get the balance, reflexes, etc, back.
Anybody know quads?

Was considering this:

2007 yamaha 700 Raptor

aluminum air box
uni filter and K&N filter
power commander
hmf pipe
+4 swing arm
12:1 piston
15Hp shot NOS
New Chain (not the one in the pics)
New hole shot tires
extra set of tires and rims

thx,RSD.

Raptors are real good for putting you in the hospital Rubb. 85 mph, front end comes up easy, they are like a busa, demand respect all the time. Yes they are fun, but play safe pal. My buddy ended up in the hospital with broken sternum, ribs, punc'd lung when he hit a hole on a trail and up ended.

I have the 660r with a few minor mods and love that machine. Its very versatile as far as trail/track/ drag track. Don't think you will be disappointed.

700rs will chuck the tranny with spirited riding. My advice is to buy a used 660 raptor first, will be around $2500 and lotsa fun. If you tear it up you won't be as pi$$ed.

i used to have an 87 lt 500r...quadzilla. depends what you want to do with it a 400ex is pretty versatile and runs forever

The Raptor is a great machine. You prolly wont need the NOS for awhile. They have a tone of power on stock motor:beerchug:

trust you dogs to turn my thread into a spelling bee....

All good advice,'cept for that one sarcastic bastid ("1st quad, nos good idea")

"I have no idea what I am doing" famous last words....

RSD.

I know they are evil and beat the ever loving out of you on technical trails/woods.

I have A YFZ 450 yamaha. It has lots of power, will jump with the rest of them, and on the trails, being smaller it will walk away from a 660 or 700:laugh:

I loved my '04 660, had to sell it about 6 weeks ago. only complaint was it was a little top heavy and light in the front...more than willing to give you trail tattoos if you hang a corner or climb a steep hill. brother in law's kawi 400 would tear me up in that department, but on the straights & air time...nothin' but raptor:thumbsup:
