Not bad, dropped it after letting the clutch out too fast and stalling it. The instructor apparently just sat and watched as she tried to keep it from falling. Then came and helped her after it fell. She was so upset when she brought it back to me. But I knew it was bound to happen and it's light. Not as light as the pic makes it but not real bad.

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

Hey at least the 'i'm so sorry sex' should be awesome :)
She has alot of making up to do !
Bummer on the bike , sorry

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

facts of life. when learning to ride your gonna drop it eventually. at least it didnt fall on her and she get hurt.

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

don't they have bikes provided for them at the MSF? They did for mine... in which case why would the Busa be ridden during the course?

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

don't have the full details but no more loaner bikes due to liability issues. bummer for the drop, Kev.

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

doesnt the course have their own bikes?

Busa kinda big for a the class?

no the class doesnt have their own bikes.

and yes it is big. But it is what I used for all my classes. the weight is the sole reason it fell. but thats all I have. she wanted to start taking the bike to work and in order to do that, she HAS to take the class. We looked around for someone to let her use their "beater" but to no avail. She said that she caught it before it dropped but didnt have the strength to pick it back up. I need to rethink (and so does she) about what bike she wants...

Is this 'no more bikes' just for Cali.
I live next to high school where msf courses are held three times a week and always see them unloading the bikes for the students .
I actually wish I could have used my bike cuz the gs250 I rode for class was so small and light it gave me fits !
Kept trying to brake and missing the rear lever cuz I would put my foot down and it was forward :banghead:

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

So umm yeah, she went home, cleaned the steed up, patted it on the gas tank, said "good girl" and put a blanket on it....

....i can't even be mad right now lol

Well keep in mind this is ran on a Military Base. I think things are a little different once you add that into the mix

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

Blanca,
I am guessing just for classes given on base for active folks here in Camp Pendleton.

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

Yeah, here they have (require you to use) the little 250 cruiser class bikes for the beginner course. But the advanced rider course requires you to use your own bike.

Bummer deal with your Busa. Glad she didn't get hurt though.

Re: Wif dropped the Busa @ MSF course

what kills me, is that she grabbed it before it fell, held it as long as she could then it got to be too much. All the while the instructor was just chilling there.... watching her....
