Woes of a motorcycle courier

This is partly a rant, partly a request for help fine tuning my setup.

To start with, I currently chase ambulances. But seriously, I deliver advertisements for a law firm, and this could easily be done on a motorcycle, BUT, there are some complications, as I found out trying to do my route this morning.

  • Gloves - I have to remove them at stops to work with the materials I'm delivering, and getting them back on is a CHORE. Doesn't anyone make gauntlet gloves that aren't so tight in the wrist?
  • Water - This made me want to shut it down only 2 hours in, as I really hadn't thought this one entirely through. I've used Camelbak's in the past, but these days I'm concerned about chemicals in non-glass water storage. I've e-mailed them to see what's in the reservoir's, we'll see what they say.
  • Paper storage - I can fit most of the materials for my deliveries quite well in a Givi 20L tailpack I bought for this purpose, save one thing: the paperwork that I need to keep relatively non-crumpled. I have a clipboard with storage that I use when in the car, and while it straps nicely to the tailpacks integrated bungie cord, it's then difficult to open without removal. Perhaps if there was some way to hold a thick clipboard down the side of the tank...
  • Tablet overheating - As part of my job, I run a routing application on a 3G/4G tablet. This app causes the radio to run full time to show my location, and so heats the tablet up quite a bit, to the point it shut down on me at the same time I gave up due to dehydration. I was keeping it in the top of my tankbag (with a window), so that probably contributed. Are there any good ADJUSTABLE tablet mounts that will securely hold a tablet on a motorcycle? (It needs to be adjustable as to arm placement, as my tablet has some oddly placed buttons on the side)
  • GPS - This has been a pain in my side in the car, too, but it's of course no better on the bike. Primarily, I'm punching in 10 or more destinations at one time, and the Garmin Nuvi 2595? I think is the model? Is just SLOW sometimes even to navigate. I've considered the Zumo series, but two things give me pause there: Are all Garmin products going to perform as badly as this one does? And given that everybody in my area can order them, but nobody stocks them, I can't go in and play with them for 15 minutes before I drop $6-900 on one.
  • Sweat wicking stuffs - I wear just a T-shirt and underwear under my Roadcrafter, as it's a great deal more comfortable than wearing pants, but all of the exposed skin ends up sticking to the nylon interior of the Roadcrafter. Does anyone make long-sleeved and long-legged sweat wicking garments, hopefully out of ORGANIC cotton?
  • Air conditioning - I'm a sissy and I'm gonna order a BikeAir. That is all. :p
  • The 2006 V-Strom 650 I picked up recently with 82k miles is quite competent at this task, (possibly more so than me), and either it's gas gauge is a damn filthy liar :rulez: or it's sipping fuel.

ETA: The GPS takes me close to a minute to program each stop on my route, that's how slow it is.

I can't address all of the things:
Camelbak has been around a looong time, if there was something wrong with the water someone would have found it by now.
GPS - I have both a Nuvi and a Zumo I use the Nuvi in a Ram Ball X - mount. It works fine, and fast. I know that the Zumo is not as fast, but not so slow as to cause me any problem.

Awesome.

Well, it took people a while to figure out Bisphenol was bad, so...

The issue with the Nuvi is primarily that it's clunky to enter in multiple addresses, requiring too many steps, and it's usually slow while it calculates a route, which it wants to do after EVERY address you put in. Also common streets, like Main St, can take more than a minute to find, which is not acceptable.
