Wooo Hoooo!!

I Just completed my first round of mods to the busa. very minor but still a big change. swapped in 16/42 sprocketts. great merciful crap! what a difference.wheelies much easier now. I can see that my back tire will not last the rest of the summer, as every where I go I seem to be leaving a large strip of it behind me. I also got the factory center stand. I dont like that the rear spoiler came off but it will make it easy to lube my chain on holidays.  :bounce:

I'm wanting to change the sprockets out too... (just what is the stock # of teath... 17/40 ? )

ok guy's what will down 1 in the front do...
........what happens to 1st gear..........
........2nd gear.................
........and last 6th gear, any thing left in that gear......

how far will the speed "o" be off ...
and how will the M.P.G be after this mod. I do like to make long trips with the busa...

Corroded .... the center stand was $120.00 canadian that is after 14% taxes.

bird a prey ...... first gear whack it open from three grand, the rear breaks free and gets a little squirrely then hooks up into a nice lofting of the tire.

second and the rest of the gears are just a lot more "bat outta hellish"

stock gearing is 17/40

I am also planning on taking lots of trips with the bus . it is only spinning about 3750 at 100 km/hmileage will be a bit worse but I dont ever plan on doing 200 mp/h so having a lot of top gear left doesnt really concern me.( there still is a lot)

I will be installing my wet NOS kit this winter. the gearing change just moves me closer to that magic spot in the powerband where the torque curve climbs to 90ish ft/lbs. the torque is still there, I can just use it without losing my license now
p.s. check out the signature, espescially the last word! :D

I put a 43 tooth on the back stock front and wow what a difference! sixth gear feels like fourth for acelleration and the front wheel comes up easy in low, just put a new tire on so I had to scuff it in before trying any wild stuff. The speedo is about 10 mph faster than actual speed. it turns 4000 at 65 mph now. My odo is off about 3 miles in 29.5 actual. So i guess a yellow box is next on the list.....

my rpm:speed could be off I dont have a GPS. my yellow box is on it's way from ausland. I hear there is a different ond about $30 cheaper from speedohealer.com or something to that effect. if you get one let me know how it works out for you. my brother will be needing one for his blackbird.

i dropped one tooth on my front sprocket from a 17 to a 16 and first gear is a blast 3,000 rpm roll back and up she comes lol i love it second pulls great as well im thinkin im gonna jump up two in the rear as well. droppiing one tooth i front will put your speedo off like 15-18% so youll read about 10-15 mph fast a speedo box from speedohealer.com will fix that right quick. though.
