Just starting to play around with this thing. The mounting take 2 minutes.

The position can be altered in unlimited ways to change the airflow hitting the rider...

I ordered the titanium finish with a smoke colored screen.

For a small footprint it works pretty well with the double bubble.

One major advantage of this system over some of the competitors is you do not drill or damage the stock windscreen to use the product and it can be removed in 30 seconds.

So far very big difference with the unit in the upright position. You feel a lit bit underneath the deflector but the buffeting in the head is greatly reduced. I am 5 feet 10. Without the deflector I would get wind directly in my upper chest and helmet area.

My friend had a suggestion, now that I have the clamp I can get ANY size piece of acrylic and swap it out from the original for added protection.

Several months ago I attempted to order an MRA VarioTouring Shield for my bike, but Twisted Throttle advised me that it would take 8 weeks to get. That didnt fly for me so I have been soldiering on with a Simple Double Bubble since then. The Wunderlich item in this thread was one of the "alternatives" I had been looking at that all essentially do the same thing, just different flavors. Anyone ever used any of these? Got Bored today so I started digging! The Puig variants are specifically listed (though not necessarily bespoke)for the Hayausa, the others are universal fitment.

I have the MRA Vario touring screen on my Gen II and I love it. Easily positioned based on riding conditions, and doesn't look bad or (at least to me) out of place when in use. When not in use, it collapses down to the windscreen. I was lucky enough to get mine from a member here who didn't like it. I have seen them on eBay occasionally, but you have to watch - honestly, with riding season winding down in most places, with an 8 week lead time, now is when I would order it. For me, it would be worth the wait.

Having said that, the wunderlich seems interesting - and though I don't like the look, the clamp on model seems really easy to install and remove.

I was all over the MRA Vario until I found out about the wait. At the time I was just finishing getting my bike back on the road so I just went with a Double Bubble screen I got with my bodywork kit. This after may years behind a ZG Touring Shield. Figured I would give it a go. The second issue for me is that I added a Fatbar kit and had to do a bit of surgery (see pic below) on it to clear the reservoirs at full lock. These clip on defelctors looked like an easy way around all of that.
