Y2K dyno

Stopped at the local dealer today to have my two busas dyno'd.

My '99, with 4818 miles stock, dyno'd at 151.1 rwhp; the bike overheated after 4 runs, but managed to get it remapped to where it dyno'd at 152 rwhp (Yosh. remap to +0H +5M +5L). Not bad for ~$75 bucks (dyno was $49, map $25).

The 2000, with 259 miles stock, dyno'd at 165 rwhp ... :O ... BULLSHIT! 148.4 rwhp! Wonder where that other guy got the extra 14 rwhp.

Cycle Riders of Longwood know nothing about Dynoing bikes and they charge too much.I bet they didnt even run a cooling fan to your radiator.I'm ynoing my bike again next saturday before I install my exhaust.I'll let you know when I go to Jeff's shop.

Stopped by "Somethin Extra Cycles" (Forest City, FL) today and had both bikes re-dyno'd. In the end my stock copper 1999 has 155rwhp (Yosh setting: +5L +5M -5H) and my wife's red 2000, 153 rwhp (no-remap).

P.S. Both "Gixx1300R" (Nick) and "FRQ FLYR" (Joe) dyno'd theirs today and both did 162rwhp (Nick's bike is STOCK 8^O; Joe's has the Akrapovic).

My bike has a little over 4000 miles.My bike is totally stock.Nothing done yet.I feel the bike is at it's peak horsepower now so I can begin the Modifications.

Nope,no sycronization,no TPS adjusment unless they did it at the time of the Fuel injection recall.I flushed my radiator awhile ago to get that gunky stuff out of the catch bottle so I have already checked all of my hoses

Hey Gixxer: No synchronization, no TPS adjustment, no tightening of the spark plugs? nothing? Most '00s idle like crap and were off on some settings. One more thing, I change the coolant on my bike and the hose attached to the water pump had the clamp completely loose. I have no idea how it didn't burst, although I only have 200 miles. Talk about at accident waiting to happen. Check yours! Spark plugs were all hand tight as well. Check them too!!
