Just talked to the new owner of jackson drag strip in jackson TN, The place is getting a face lift. 250 feet of new concrete from the starting line out, new gaurd rails, new restrooms, new consession stand. This track is 45mins from my house, the closes decent track up untill now was 2 hours away. And they are planning bike classes! I"m stoked

Google has that trip at 4 hours from my place, but they think everyone drives like a grandma!
That is definitely a can do trip for us. Keep me updated on the progress.....

its kind of back in the woods,off of rt70, if you know were the coka cola plant is in jackson, you go east about 3-4 mls.

We have a 1/8th strip, but I'd really like to try a full 1/4 sometime.

1/8, only 1/4 track around here was memphis and they shut down. I only made it there once, went 9.92/ 138mph spinning the hell out of a u-soft. I"m on a slick now. I"m just glad to have a place to race

Glad to hear that you are getting a good track to run at that is close to you. The track that we all run at is Speedworld Motorsports Park. It's in Whittman, Az. It is a blast to run there and when you get bored of watching or running on the 1/4 you can go to one of the many other tracks and watch the event going on there.
