yosh rs3 black turning purple

I took the packing out of 2/3 of my RS3. The section of the pipe that had no packing turned copper and it now matches the bike. The section that still has the packing is still black with a faint hint of purple towards the edge where the packing was removed. I don't guess that will help you much though....

Any one else have a Yosh RS3 black canister notice that the canitser is turning purple instead of black ? My last yosh didnt do this.

Is this just my pipe or other doing it too, I would like to know before I contact yosh about this. I want a black can not a purple one.
