SOME of you may recall that I had jumped in on a thread about exhaust a few months back and stated I had discovered a crack in the Yosh pipe on Goblin's 2009 White Busa.

John left me the receipts in which, it shows the Yosh was bought from Biohazard cycles. I reached out to Biohazard who told me THEY don't warranty Yosh pipes...but they will sell the hell out of 'em though....ri-i-i-ght

I contacted Yosh and explained to them the situation, they said that because It was over a year ago they wouldnt warranty them???????

This looks like a Manuf defect, no other explanation for this radius crack..

I finally took pics of the crack and sent my email to Yosh..I will include any and all correspondence on ere for you guys to see..

First pics then email string...

My feeling is Yosh won't stand by their product, which is why i am letting you guys know what to expect from them..

Hello,
I bought a Yoshimura R-77 SS dual exhaust from a retailer called biohazardcycles, I reached out to them concerning a problem with the right side pipe. Biohazard says that although its been a little over a year they do not warranty Yoshimura products.

As you can see from the attached pictures the pipe seems to have developed a crack around the exhaust exit radius, the pipes were installed professionally by a shop and there has been no accident or damage to the bike, thus the supplemental extended view pics of the exhaust side.

Can Yoshimura fix this? Send me a replacement exhaust or cap? it seems to be a defect in the metal fabrication or tensile strength of the metal around the exhaust end cap...

Please advise as I would like to get this repaired before riding season starts and I really dont want to abandon Yosh products because of this defect.

Regards

What year/make/model bike is this for? Can you provide a copy of your receipt for proof of purchase? Thanks!

Hello

This is a 2009 Suzuki Hayabusa...

Don't know if I can find the receipt now but I will try...can this be remedied by replacing the end cap?

If so whats the cost of that?

That's sad Angel. Hope you can buy a new end cap and have someone locally with a Huck Gun.

I have delt with M4 for years. I can buy any parts or pieces by calling Kyle Martin at M4 in Texas and have it in hand the next day. I just sent a titanium can back for repacking with a two day turn around.

This is exactly the reason I pick and choose the folks I buy from. CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Good Luck on GettinRfixed!

Im an M4 fan myself, if you recall thats whats on the Black 08:laugh:

Never REALLY been a big fan of Yoshi although I understand why some are...Im just hoping the investment won't be a waste...if so I'll just make sure I spread the word so people understand the ramifications of this.

I thought all that stuff was bought and put on by hpc. Either way that sucks, I have a feeling quality was left in japan for yoshi. Hope it all works out for ya, when I get home in a few months. I'm gonna have a full ti force setup with bazzaz fs.

Well heck that aint cool, Looks like it would be a manufacture defect for sure.

Any opinions, thoughts, ideas????

How long after purchase/install were the cracks discovered? I never bothered to read "the fine print" (if there is any) that comes with the purchase of YOSH pipes but here's what I found from GOOGLE-ing it: Terms And Conditions

FWIW, been using Yosh pipes for years and have had zero issues thus far (knock on wood). Best of luck.
