My wife always GIGS me on how many Vanson Jackets I have; I better not put it in writing.
They are very versatile and rugged. About ten years ago they started adapting to marginally expanding waistlines; someday a plus for me perhaps. They also adapt to soft and hard armor and back plates. Vanson also sells nice (non electric) vests for additional functionality.
They make so many models - I can't remeber which is the one you are thinking of so I can't exactly comment.
I'd say they also hold a better than average resale value - but that would be so miniscule - don't let that be your deciding factor.
