YouTube vids ? Just a white box ?

All the sudden Yotube vids are showing as just a white screen on my computer.
I see 2-3 new threads today where ops cant get them to display and even ones that were showing the other day are now white ?

This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. Had this been a real emergency a video would have appeared but since it is just a test only a white screen will appear.
Do not be alarmed. If this had been a real emergency a video would have shown telling you how to panic properly...

I noticed the same thing and sent Dawn PM about it...

Youtube, in the last 2-3 months, has changed their embed and link stuff about 3X...probably scrambling the .orgs software....

Yep, that's likely what's happened...

It can be done like this:

just paste the video number...

So if a URL is:

[MEDIA=YOUTUBE]NRxrCBvt7TM[/MEDIA]

copy/paste just the: NRxrCBvt7TM

[MEDIA=YOUTUBE]NRxrCBvt7TM[/MEDIA]

Yep, that's it....gonna be hard to convey that to new members unless the board software changes...however, I like it this way alot less work than the huge cut/paste of the new 'embed' box....

Just copying the video number, once you get used to it, seems alot easier and I might recommend leaving it this way and just changing the FAQ to reflect.

Of course, that's until YT changes their mind again....
