I know you guys never hear from me - I'm always in the background, reading, laughing and learning from your great posts. I thought is infomation may be of interest to everyone:
I just got a fax from my Kawasaki Dealer that he got from Kawaski Corporate. They have announced a four to six week delay in ZX12 shipments. I called my dealer and he told me of catastrophic frame problems - he said he heard the frame was separating from the steering head at high speeds. He also told me he spoke with Ricky Gadson at the Bike show last week. Ricky told him that his ZX12 has been confiscated by Kawasaki. He will do a little more research today and call me back on Tuesday. He also said he will be refunding my deposit shortly, he doubts the bike will see production this year.

How do you fix catastrophic frame problems in 4 to six weeks...................? Put a new frame on? Reweld them only to break at about 180 mph? Do you trust your *** on a bike that is chasing the busa but cant do it safely? WOW, Suzuki did a hell of a job, didnt they. Buy the busa forget the 12...................................can anyone say "turbo"....................I knew you could...........

The ZX12 is being restyled in to a new Drifter (known to wander off the road in a wobble) and a ZRX1200 what else are you going to do with those hot rod 1200's but drop it in a nice safe slow chassis while removing the 5th and 6th gears.

I told everybody on labusas this was going to happen. Maybe 2001. I just took delivery of my silver/blue today so I'm not exactly sweatin it.

She wouldnt like that, shes veeeerrryyy jealous and resentfull of ZX12's.

'Dude...I don't think they will let turbos run in thr C.A.R.S. events...the rules state no nitrous or similer systems(?) They do specifie that the races are open to ALL VEHICLES...any word from CARS? Last time I checked, DMV considered my bikes motor VEHICLES...did any one figure out how to contact Ken Merena?

..after much soul searching, (and with KawAbuser holding my hand), I think I am going to go with the Marcheseni mag wheels...Race Tech suspension...Ferodo Brake Tech Superlight Rotors with stock calipers, Perfomance Fricton #728 pads, and Goodridge steel lines...a tianium rotoe in back...4 into 1 Ti exhaust and dyno tuning...a DB screen, and an A-TECH tail kit and carbon fiber hugger to dress her up and reduce buffeting...and of course, the Michilin Pilot Sports...this whole package should run about 5k, well below the original figure of 7k, and yet a better balenced package, thanks to the wisdom and knowledge of the KawAbusr...

...now I can stop bugging you about your brake and suspension selections, as KawAbuser advised me that you atre going with the RAM arm, Ohlins suspension, and PFM Suberbike Brakes...still , I would like to know how the stock brakes work at 190+ as I have yet to visit your neiborhood of speed...I's just a po boy and hopes to get away with the stock caliper on the upgraded rotors and all...what to you think are the chances of that?

Omega, I am very glad you got a Busa, cuzz now it won't be unfair when I find you and SPANK the WE WE outa ya! I will be in West Palm Springs this summer to visit some of my bulldogs and visit some ol dog men whut generaly don't take ta Yankees, so maybe I will find you to do battle...no, I won't have any of my dogs, as I will ride the Busa down and plenty of my dogs are already there!Don Mattews has one of my good bitches to be worked on hogs and bred to his prize dog...he is very happy with her...if you know of him stop by and drop my name and you could check her out...

...they are probably just going to blow us off...about 15 or 20 of us should down load the application and apply...mayhaps we could organize our own group and get it sanctioned by the AMA...KawAbuser thought this might not be impossible...if we could get a bunch of you guys with track liesences to show interest and ask about safty equipment and tires, or come up with some of that stuff we might prevail...some one aughta contact Ken Merena...you know, the Isle of Mann racer they let run part of the race last year...in an artical I read he expressed an interest in returning and thought he could go faster...you guys realy want Hapo to make contact, or do you want to realize this race as a reality?

Is this stuff about frame problems on the 12r true or just a rumor? Where is the 12r forum? If it's true then i'm sure they're talking about it over there. I just want to know if this is true before I go rubbing it in to some die hard 12r guys I know.

...well, you are behind it, Vegas Dude, and Dirty Pete is into it as well as Mr. Bear, apparently...any one else?...

...keep in mind you don't necessarily have to ride a Busa in the Unlimited Class,(185+mph)

...that would be the Idea for most of us here, I would suspect...but the Idea is to get Bikes into it, not just Busas...

Hapo, just checked my email here is the response...........damn it..............

Hi Dave,

I'm sorry but no motorcycles will be allowed to run in any of our open road races this year. Please keep checking as we are still mulling over doing a "motorcycle"-only open road race sometime in the future (however, not until at least 2001).

Sincere Thanks,

Denise Tirrell
Director of Operations
Classic Auto Racing Society

Well at least there is hope.

...well, thats not the best posible responce, but still not bad! I am not ready for this year anyway, acording to Sensie...most of us should be undertaking a rigouruos self improvement program a duc and his pals...

if we have a bunch of riders that have aquired track liecenses via the Penguin School or some other certification by this time next year, we might get some place...

Mike has my e-mail, give me a shout when your coming, you'll find that I ride like a good bulldog. DEAD GAME

...I shur hope you are wrong about the DEAD part! And I hope you can ride better than a bulldog, cuzz all the ones I seen suk!
