aluminum rear sprocket question

Has anyone used a rear Vortex CAT5 Motorcycle Sprocket or other aluminum sprockets on their bike...my mechanic didnt want to install it because he said the the hayabusa had too much torque and said that it would strip it or bend the sprocket and also ruin the chain...thoughts??
Listen to your mechanic. He knows what he is talking about. Been there did that.

I don’t know if the quality of the metallurgy is similar but the Pro Stock V Twins use aluminum connecting rods and they spin over 10,000 rpm. If they weren’t strong they wouldn’t use them. And they have to be strong with 400 HP and 240 torque. If a brand name aluminum sprocket maker uses the same type of aluminum that’s in those rods, a Hayabusa’s power delivery won’t hurt them.
