I figure EVERYBODY's curious about the new tire, so let's get those first impressions going.
More southerly latitudes, you're up:

Finally ready for a new set, but someone said they like the 22s so much, why risk a downgrade to the 23s. I'm considering just replacing the 22s. Bump if anyone has experience with the 23s.

You could scrub them in real good by the time you got to Yosemite. :firing: Just a couple hundred miles away….

Does anyone have any experience with the S23’s I’m in the process of replacing my rear S22 tomorrow but my front still has a lot of life left. That being said when this next rear is ready for replacement the front will likely need to be changed also at which point I’d consider getting a set of S23’s assuming they’re the updated version as the S22 has performed flawlessly for me on the Busa.

Same boat and I hate that. I never get twice the wear out of the front, it's always around 1.5. I will most likely try the s23s, but I'm also considering Dunlop Sportmax Q5S on the front, and a Dunlop Roadsmart 4 on the rear. It wouldn't be the instant matched set of the 23s, but I'm thinking something like 33 PSI cold in the rear and 36 PSI in the front may well even out the grip difference (I would carefully tune the PSI), and finally they would wear equally.

Decided to shoot Bridgestone a quick e mail with a few question regarding the S22 & S23 tires and thought I would share here in case you guys had any interest. In short I’ll be sticking with the S22’s…

“On your bike I would recommend that you stick with the Hayabusa OE Spec S22 that it came with as that was a special spec that was designed in conjunction with Suzuki to help deal with some of the issues that are unique to the Hayabusa because of the weight and power that the bike has.

The regular replacement spec S23 is a better tire for sure than the regular replacement spec S22 but the S22 for your bike is special to it.

The S22's will get phased out over time but that OE Spec Hayabusa tire will be available for around 8 years or so after the bike stops coming with that tire on it new from the factory.”
