Western Divide Hwy - there are groves of Giant Sequoias alongside the road.

King River in the bottom of canyon - 8000 ft deep when measured from surrounding mountain tops

Yes, we just rode up and down that twisty-goodness right there.

For scale, the falls at middle right is 600 foot drop.

For scale, that's about 4000 feet between the valley floor & top of Half Dome. Not quite a vertical mile. If you bring along a good set of binoculars & look at top of Half Dome, you can see people standing on top of it staring back at you.
