I cut my recent trip a day short and didn’t take many pics this time. The north end of hiway 49 was riding nirvana thru a deep and shady river canyon ultimately cresting the summit of 6,700’. Shangri-La boys. Short straights, lots of elevation changes and lefts and rights galore…right next to the river. I’m going to look into some river’s edge cabins I passed deep in the forested canyon. I rode thru some forest fire devastated areas south and east of Lassen NP and even inside the park. Complete (used to be) forested areas just gone. Lots of clearing and logging work has been done with plenty more left to do.
