00BusaTX b-day dinner

Mike and Shannon came over this evening and shared a little dinner with us. I put a brisket on first thing this morning and here is the finished product.

Here's the brisket all carved and ready to serve.

HRH made green bean casserole and home made parker house rolls. We also made baked potatos stuff with onions, butter and wrapped in bacon on the smoker.

Man that brisket with some Gates BBQ sauce.

I've never tried Gates BBQ sauce, but it sounds like I might need to.

HRH and I have come up with a rub for the brisket that has a little bite (heat) to it and then she has usuall makes a sweet bbq sauce that compliments it nicely. Unfortunately, the kids ate all the bbq sauce, didn't tell us and there was no time to whip some up.
