06 gen 1 won't top out

Maybe take a video of what you’re experiencing and post it here. You changed the sprockets but didn’t say what they were or what you changed them to.

I'll need to get a camera or borrow one. The sprockets were the same size as the new set, 17t and 40t. I didn't check them before I bought them. I just wanted fresh links and sprockets and quick searched the sizes

Is not the clutch the next output down the line, ergo, it is slipping?

Not so sure. I did hit false neutral between 4th & 5th quite a bit in the first 2 months but I rarely ever experience it now. I just put the exhaust back on today so I can try and run it as bone stock as possible. Gonna take it in to a dyno soon and see if back pressure caused the drop in speed

Honestly clutch slippage or fuel issue or spark issue you'd feel (stalling, bogging, slow climbing revs). I think berlin is on the right track possible out of adjustment valve train or weak engine needing a refresh.
