Good job Oki finding article
When i see it on Suzuki's site i will believe it. They are not going to be able to get anymore Drag Coef outta any design in any of those pics. I think it will just be narrower and a about the same length, updated 32-bit fuel metering, lighter rims, more accurate fork dampening, brakes will be radial, and the ergo will change to fit the initial design(a little more upright), I read years ago directly from the R&D releases on Suzuki's corporate site that the tank could have been be a little bigger but they had cooling issues and if that could be overcome it will mean a bigger more efficient airbox (99 busa). Also do not be surprised if the price tag is a whopping $15,999. Remember that the base for the hayabusa was the RF900 and i dont think it's gonna be that radical of a design change. Some things, like the cult status the busa has been given, shows the corporation that they WILL not deviate from its trademark design. You dont see Mustangs changing too much at once, The Camaro either. Look at truck sales right now and you will see what i'm sayin is true. If they made a 68-70 looking Chevy truck they would sell out. If they made a 1955 F-100 truck, or a 1955-57 Chevy people WILL buy it. People like, no, they love familiar. A Hayabusa is just that. The 12R underwent two makeovers and is GOOOONE. the blackbird is Gooone. the Hayabusa is still here. As long as there isnt too much of this racetech (throttle by wire, re-uptake stuff) put into the busa it will still be back on top. You know there will be a ZX-14"R" coming, look at Kawis record. ZX-10, ZX-11, ZX-12"R". Suzuki had such a lead when the busa came out, as far as customer satisfaction that Kawi knew they had to rethink. The 12R was always close sometimes dead even with the busa, but there was such a loss in reliabilty, comfort driveability, I had both and remember how it felt to get everything outta the 12R, but the throttle response was violent and unrelenting NOT smooth as the busa. This is also proven by looking in the CycleTrader or anyother for sale publication. People bought it and sold it. Most of the busas are still with their initial owners.
I know Im ranting now, see I lurk and then i strike hehe he
All it was , was a picture sheesh
