It seems your Dad is about trying to beat you everywhere rather than ride with you. Find someone else to ride with. It is supposed to be FUN to ride with someone, not a test of male machoism. Get rid of the old geek and get some friends. It's not about racing anyway, he is setting a very poor example.(hayaboosta @ Mar. 07 2007,17:43) OK, first off let me say im on my Dads name here. he has an 07 Busa with TRE and K&N airfilter. the bike is already rediculously fast. Now to the hard part. i just got my first street bike and its a Kawasaki EX250. we try and go riding but it seems to be more like me following! i dont think its fun anymore to ride with him because im always catching up at the red lights. he told me the best thing he could do is tie a rope to the back of his Busa to the front of my EX. ANY real suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

One thing you never stated is how old you are (17, 18, 21?) and your riding background/experience.
Looks like you made the next logical step to the 600. You're not going to be able to keep up with the Busa if your Dad hammers it but should be able to keep up in the twisty stuff depending on your riding abilities. Just make sure to ride at your own pace.
