I am just curious, do these things make power or not? I know a buddy of mine put it on his '06 Gixxer 1000 when he went for "looks" and lost a whopping 6hp at the wheels. Just wondering. They do look good they, especially the Jardines.

I had bought a set of the cheap pipes with baffles on Ebay for 60.00 and I noticed a lack in power. Didn't try with the baffles out but with them in, it didn't perform as good as stock. The pipes sounded ok once I got them to seal. I used the stock gaskets and clamps to seal them up. I think the noise makes the bike seem faster to some people. There might be different results for other stubby pipes.

Hey All...

I recently bought a set of the Lord Humongous slip ons and I have to say they are quite nice. Great sound! I get lots and lots of compliments about them. All my friends really like the way they sound and are quite jealous (even the Harley guys)! I really like the open-wheel look over the "fat" look the stock pipes give. They give a great, deep rumble sound. Not the whining sound, but much more throaty.

I have attached some pics of the pipes installed on my bike.

You can hear the pipes on YouTube. Just search for Lord Humongous Exhaust System on YouTube - Broadcast Yourself..

He is apparently working on a site where he can sell them a little cheaper ($189.00 versus $225.00 or so) that isn't eBay, so he doesn't have to pay their fees and pass that on to the consumer, I guess. For $189.00, they are quite a bargain!
Here is the site if you are interested:

There aren't pictures there yet though.

I think they sound much better on the Busa than they do on other bikes - IMO. They sound much better in person.

They also cut down about 25 pounds compared to stock exhaust, which is another bonus.
