Just for a good conversation. Lets say you have $1000 to spend and you wanna make your Busa (Gen 1 or 2) make as much power as possible, how do you spend your money????

Forget the power and get ohlins struts and an adjustable penske shock; maybe a scotts steering dampener

A good tune is worth its weight in gold. Assuming one already has exhaust and PC.
Sport compacts get good power gains out of decals

Your right, if we apply the same laws of physics that apparently apply to import cars then with $900 in stickers and a $100 2 foot high aluminum rear spoiler the bike would probably go high 7's in the 1/4.

Overall I'm more of a 1/4 mile kind of guy, I'm sure I don't do the twisties at even 50% of what the bike is capable of stock.

1/4mile stuff : Lowering Strap $30 , Lowering links $30 (adjustable $100) , Good mapping & tune $450 , NOS kit (30-40 shot ) $400 !

+100 :agree:

Unfortunately a $1000 budget doesn't get you very far in terms of trying to make more power with our bikes :unhappy:

Save it... invest it in something that will make a profit... Then get a turbo kit installed ...

Used pciii usb, k&n, strap, extensions, used air shifter kit, and used N2O kit. Oh and a Schnitz tune is always affordable:thumbsup:

find a good used full exhaust and have the bike tuned. Usually pick up 10hp, sounds alot better and its a mod that doesn't have a reliability downfall
