I guess thats true cause I never drive my car without listening to the radio and I drive pretty fast and have never crashed so I think its quite possible to listen to tunes and ride alert. I might have to give that a shot in the summer time.
my helmut is pretty noisy tho. flows a lot of air but noisy.
I absolutely think music helps you focus longer on those long rides. But we were talking about bike to bike radio. This is essential in my opinion. On those tight 2 lane twisties you can call back when it's clear for passing, call when something is wrong on your bike or you see something on someone else's bike; call out danger like animals or stuff in the road, and best of all talk trash. Only caution is riding with someone who talks too much or forgets and leaves the mic open so it sounds like Darth Vader is following you
