1500 hundred dollars

Rex1300,

I think cams are around $500-600 and thats if you install them yourself.

I would stick to the BDE Gen III and PCIIIR.

As a matter of fact, check out Brocks site ( www.brockdavidson.com ) and see what package deal he is running right now.  Depending on your weight and skill he has run 9.20-.30's for about $1,500.  It might be $1,680 but I'm sure you can spring another $180 bucks, RIGHT?

Just give them a call and ask for Bryan.  You won't find nicer guys when it comes to Hayabusa's!

I may need to get another 1000 $...I am looking at about 1600 for pipe and pc. maybe about 700 for cams, I will call motorhead to install them

2300 grand total

WOW...It cost to go faster.!

Check out TiForce exhaust as well. I hear they have been known to make a little more HP than the BDE, but BDE's package does sound sweet.

I heard a few people experienced prolems with cams. I can't remember if they were Web's though. It would be a lot cheaper to do another intake cam on the exhaust side.

TiForce...I will check in to them, never heard of that pipe. I was wondering do cams make a real big difference on Busa's. Do they give you more on bottom end, mid or top end..Exactly how do cams help the preformance of your bike.

Rex1300,

I don't really know how the cams help in the peformance of the Busa power band but I am following your post in hope of the info. on it. I haven't decide the route I want to go and cams/N2O might be it, if not TURBO!

As far as the Brock package deal I would highly recommend it for the money. You can't beat the deal with everything they toss in with it. Other wise you are looking at just the pipe and PCIIIR for close to the same price.

Let me know what Motorhead says about the cams and performance gain. Are they Yosh, install price with cams, power gain peak/mid range, power band info., etc.....

Later,

The Dyno pages I have seen increase your performance across the board (for Cams). You will need custom maps with dyno time.

I will keep you post, I will be contacting Motorhead soon..

Cool, so the cams are a go. You've seen gains on a dyno?

Depends on the lift of the cams of what you can expect. Web makes several different variations. Check with whose going to do the work and see what he recommends. If you are going with a big bore kit or even a drop-in they need to know. The 600 bucks only buys the cams. You have to buy the sprocket, new chain and a tensioner. Plus if you are going to spend that much on a set of cams get the head ported and polished and have the valves adjusted for the size of the cam. With a high lift cam you will have to have valve guides adjusted. The cheapest way for about 6-8 HP is the intake cam swap. There are a hundred different ways to do it, just decide what you want and go for it. Might want to check with Johnnycheese. He can tell you way more than me.
