According to accuweather.com(1:45pm today) everything's looking good for the weekend, with rain not moving in till Sunday night.

I'll keep an out for any change in the forecast in order to give as much notice as possible, if we have to make any changes to our plans.

I will post a general outline of Saturday's route tomorrow. It will include a few places we can/will stop in order to meet riders, such as hillbilly, enroute.

The exact route is subject to change, depending on the progress we make and in order to get to Marietta in time for dinner.

Including hillbilly, at least three, and maybe four riders will meet us during the day.

Okay Galzweigian we got this thing going on...as they say, "it's mthe way we roll"! Wardie

woot woot..ok red you and i need to coordinate meets times to ride down

it all still depends on bein forced or not but if not i'll go. I'll see what the $$ situation looks like thursday

Redkat no one forces someone who is "sick"..cough, cough...swine flu etc. Heck if you tell them you weren't sure if you had the swine flu and wanted to protect all your co-workers by staying home "sick" they'd probably pay you for your kindness. LOL Hope to see you at the ride. Wardie

uhhh you are union right...but anyway let us know after the overtime post...ours is usually 3 pm on thurs. i wont get any due to being on trainning and forced 40hrs

Ok folks, here we go!

The forecast is still looking good, Saturday looks outstanding, and there is only a slight chance of a shower on Sunday. We'll continue to keep an eye on the forecast for any changes.

Dinner Saturday will be at Las Trancas, a Mexican restaurant near the Holiday Inn, recommended by Hillbilly.

As noted previously, we will leave Lisbon by 10:00am on Saturday morning. We will take 164 south to Amsterdam where things will start to get interesting. Continuing on 164 we will head west to 9 at Kilgore. Taking 9 south, this is where several options will come into play. We may stay on 9 to New Athens, or more probably take other roads. In the end, we'll wind up at the intersection of 149 and I-70. This is a good place for riders that want to meet us enroute, as there's a large BP station with an attached McDonald's at this exit on a major interstate.

From there, we'll continue on 149 to 147 taking 147 either east or west, depending on time. Whichever way we go, we will wind up on 148 and take it east to Powhatan Point, another possible place where riders can meet up with us. We'll go south on 7 to either 556 or 78. Again, time of day will decide which route we take. We will wind up on 78, even if we take 556.

From there we will turn south on the "infamous" Rt.536. Just remember this: on the Dragon(in NC & TN) they allow semi-trucks. They DON'T ALLOW THEM on 536!! Nuff said. Please be careful when we're on this road, especially if you haven't ridden it before.

Just off 536 we will stop at Kiedaisch Point Park. It's a neat little park, on a bluff, that overlooks the Ohio river.

After our stop at the park, we'll continue south on 536 to 7 at Hannibal. Hillbilly will probably join us there. If time allows, we will make a foray into WV. The loop will include a stint on Rt. 7(in WV), which Hillbilly has indicated to be a very nice road. We will return to the Ohio river at Sistersville/Fly where we will re-enter the Buckeye state by ferry!

From Fly, we'll shoot up 800 north to 26. We'll turn left and take 26 west to our final destination for the day......Marietta.

Christ I'm tired already. Hey lets go to Wheeling and play the dogs as in Wheeling Downs!!

LOL...Wardie is prepared to be in the back. Rebuild of rear caliper hasn't helped the braking. Wardie will pick up the pieces as he follows ever so slowly and cautiously... :rofl:Wardie
