ok, so this isnt about a 2007 1k in any way. it is about my 1k post.
i bought my busa new in august 2003, and over a few months of having her, i had hear that there was a really good site or 2 on the net about hayabusa's. i started searching, and i ran across hayabusa.org. i would visit the site here and there, and finally created an account. i didnt post much in my beginning days of visiting the .org, and plus i was not able to visit as much due to family and work status.
may 2006 i accepted a different job with the company i work for, and it is one where i can access the internet, and access the board with no reprocussions. i believe that in may i might have had 200 posts +/-.
there is not a morning that goes by that i can not wait to log onto the .org. i enjoy reading topics on the board and learning of new and different modifications that can be done to the busa, example the hump storage mod. i had been wanting to do this for a long time after learning about it here on the .org, but swore i would not pay 25+ bucks for the components. saw a post about doing it with aircraft 1/4 turn pins. Thanks for the info!
I also have saved in my favorites Jinksters post on the suspension set-up. very informative post for setting up the suspension.
i was wanting to attend the fall mini bash 06, but for other family reasons, i was not able to attend. so after saying that, i will be attending the bash 07. i look forward to meeting all that are going. to name a few of the ones i would really like to meet are :
1) Doug (CAp) - for the great and outstanding job he does with the board and the raffles.
2) Shawn (MCM) - for several reasons - The outstanding job that he does with amin-ing the board and pushing for people to help other when unfortunates happen to them. the other reason for shawn is to shake his hand and congradulate him for the promotion and job that he does in the marines to protect and serve his country (and mine).
3) Michelle (Vabs) - i want to see if all the things they say about you are true
4) last but not least, as i said earlier - all that will be attending. i think you all are great and stand up people (atleast on here) and after meeting the ones going to the bash, i can make better judgements as to the true person that i see a screen name of on the .org.
again, i want to say thank you to EVERYONE here on the .org that has accepted me to the site, and made me feel as part of the .org family.
ps.- do i get a toaster now?
