Hello, I have a K8 with 8800 miles. Took her out of storage couple days ago, everything was fine for 125 miles then she kept throwing C32, C22.

I have a 5 year warranty, but I am using the ecu editor so I don't know if I can take it in. I was hoping it could be something simple so I'd check here first.

Ok, my first thought was it could be a bad battery? Is that possible? The bike was dead when I got to it after the winter, seemed to charge up fine, and runs well. The battery might not be 100%.

If I should bring it in, can I just unhook the wires I added to get the ecu editor to work and bring it in? Or will they be able to tell and void my warranty?

Thanks

Did you lift tank and inspect number 1 injector?
It may be as simple as the plug going onto it has come loose.

I wasn't able to do much more than pull the codes. I will check all the connections after work. I'm pretty sure they are fine, but ya never know..

I do have PCIII and a full R77 exhaust, that was dyno'd before I got my ecu box, if that matters.

It's possible the #1 injector has gone bad. It happens.

The dealer gave me an appointment for Thursday. I read a bunch of threads here about warranties and how dealers love to find reasons not honor them.

With the codes my bike threw, can the dealer say that the Power Commander is the direct cause the failure?

My dealer loves warranty work and has worked with me on everything. I guess I'm lucky. If you think it's the PC , just take it out of the equation and see what happens. I've never messed with the injectors but if it's easy to do; swap two and see if the problem follows, but with a warranty I would take it in.

I have a 4into1 AlienHead, K&N, block off plates and a PcV and dealer didn't have any problem replacing my rectifier under warranty.

So, 2 months later.

The bike has been to the dealership twice so far. Each time they clear the code and tell me to bring it back if it comes back on.

I haven't been riding it, only a few times and today was one of them. Rode for about 8 miles, bike starts shuddering, running on 3 cylinders FI light comes on.

So I call the dealership and they say their finally gonna order a new injector, wow only took 2 months.

My question is, can I do any harm to the bike if I continue to ride it until the part comes in? It doesn't constantly run on 3 only sometimes then it seems to go back to noraml after a few seconds.

So I been dealing with the dealership since march now about this problem, they said, they ruled the injector out and said that its the power commander.

So they put this file on my Power Commander 3 "Set100DutyFeature.exe".

anybody have any knowledge about any of this stuff?

Okay, if anybody out there is still reading this and can help awesome, but I doubt it. anyways

So my problem does not happen when the power commander is removed, I called Power Commander and they said to send it in for $25 they will check it out..

All other B.S a side, I know it has something to do with the Power Commander. its either the tune or the unit itself. What do you guys think is most likely? (BTW the place I had it dyno'd is now long out of business, so I cant bring it back)

I just got back from a shop that does dynos. He looked at everything and since my ecu editor map and PCIII map were not working with each other. So we took the PCIII off and just used the ecu editor and everything is fine..
BTW bike made 184hp and 108 Ftlbs

Why were you using PC3 and ecu editor maps? Does not sound smart.... You use one or the other... Glad you got the problem solved though.
