2008 stock or modded Busa times !!??!!

absalutly i remember you !!! great to see you on here. I raced the busa at jamestown and turned a 6.5. I was pretty happy with that on a unpreped airport strip. thanks for telling me about the sale on shinkos at spencer cyc. i got one i cant waite to get it on!!!

I was planning on taking my 14 to the runway in Jamestown, but I decided to go to Interstate Dragways in Sabin instead. I prefer the 1/4 mile over the 1/8, especially at an airstrip.
I'm sure you'll like the Shinko. I know a lot of people are happy with them. After I got mine, I found out Shinko makes a regular slick, no grooves. So, I got one of them, too. If you want a tire that really bites, the R008 Shinko is the one.
Haven't seen you around Jamestown lately. I drive there from Bismarck everyday and deliver all over. Tell your husband Larry says hi.

J.K....we are in vacation now with our bikes in the black hills but the tire shoud be thier when i get home i hope. Are you going to sabin anytime soon?

08 Busa lowered,dumped exhaust,7"extensions,Shinko ultra soft compound 200 tire, best E.T 9.448@146.75 with a 1.550 60ft .... ordered and waiting on a 2 up rear sprocket, K&N,and a Brocks strap

very impressive!!! what kind of extensions did you go with?? and were did you order your sprocket from if i may ask??? i take it the shinko hooked up nice??

Thanks and the Shinko REALLY hooks and i ordered my sprocket from All Things Chrome and thats where i got my extensions too

I'm done for the year. This year was just a test n tune for me. I hadn't drag raced for 23 years. I tried 4 different rear sprockets and I'm going back to the stock rear next year. Here are my best times: (you have to remember, too, that I was using a wheelie bar)
60 ft - 1.36
1/8 - 5.89 @ 125.8
1/4 - 9.23 @ 147.5
I was using a M/T slick which was ballooning up on the last half of the quarter and rubbing on the front of the swingarm. This didn't help my e.t. or mph. I put the Shinko slick on and next year I have to learn how to launch all over again. I was at Sabin 2 weeks ago (that's where I met racedguy) and everytime I launched, the bike would buck and hop and almost kill. I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong. When I got back to Bismarck, I pm'ed the master of the dragstrip (Lee) smokinzx14 and sent him a video of me that my son had taken. Man, what a super nice guy Lee is. He told me exactly what I was doing wrong and what I should do. Now, if I can do it the way he said. Next year, maybe the 8's.
Well, have a good time on vacation. It's been some great riding weather.

im 5'11 190 i have a 100% stock 08 on my third pass i ran a 10.11 @ 141 with a little less pressure in the rear. The temp was 102 degree and the bike had 900 mile on it. On my 06 le I ran a 8.42 @ 170 with a hahn racecraft 20g kit and alot on the motor. the bike was having traction problems until alittle past the 1/8 mile
