What is different in these two Busa's? (As in, what does the 2011 have or do that the 2008 can't or doesn't have?)

Besides different paint and stickers..

I can tell you that my 2008 is paid for and a 2011 is not... :please:

Sorry I couldn't help it..

Paint and stickers is it, no other differences.
08 insurance will be a little cheaper too.

No Difference except color (and probably a couple grand price difference).

Sometimes the older girl knows a few more tricks :poke:

Paint and stickers are the only difference. On the 08 and 09, the fuel tank graphics are under the clear coat, so removal isn't exactly an option without repainting the tank. There are no tank graphics on the 2010-2012 bikes, so they would be much easier to deal with if you're considering removing the stickers.

And nothing changed for 2012? How long do Motorcycle (In this case Suzuki) companies let this continue? How freaking boring! Did Suzuki do the same thing with their Gen1 bikes and how long did Gen 1 bikes last before they made Gen 2? Heck, Suzuki didn't even make a 2010 Hayabusa right? So Suzuki is stating there is nothing they can approve on with the Hayabusa each year or even every other year?

What makes people want to buy a new Busa? A new paint and sticker job and a higher price lol? I'm shocked this works for SUzuki, or does it? I did hear 266+ stores have closed in the past year or so... what's up behind that?

They made some changes the first few model years to improve the Gen I and a few small changes afterwards, then fixed nearly every complaint made by the masses when they built the Gen II. If the new 14 only matches the Gen II in performance don't expect any major changes. There's an old saying round here : don't fix what ain't broke.

I had a 2008... i now have a 2011... difference?... about 4 years newer and different colour. Its exactly the same to be honest... just i realise now my old suspension was SHOT!!!!

Gen1 was 1999, 2000, 2001 with minor changes. Subframe was changed as well as some electrical system upgrades. 02 to 07 are all the same, and 99 to 07 are all basically considered the same. 99 to 01 can be upgraded to the 02 to 07 improvements.
Suzuki did make a 2010 Busa too, apparently only 6 came to the U.S new though, and only to Hawaii.
They were also the same as the 08 to 11.
The economy has obviosly hurt everyone, and the large stock of new unsold 08 and 09 models before the 2010 release prevented Suzuki from sending any 2010's to the U.S., since the color was the only change.
No bike is perfect, but the Busa is one of the best all around bikes you can buy. The aftermarket is huge for whatever you choose to do with it, drag race, roadrace, cruise, tour, ect.
ANY bike will have pros and cons, and room for improvement.
As Dad of three said, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".:beerchug:

i thought the old saying was "if it aint broke put a turbo on it and call it a gen III".

In my small mind, they could do some work on the platform they have and pull over 200 at the rear tire. But they probably won't be impressed enough by the new 14 to do anything.

The GEN 1 Hayabusa was made from 1999-2007. If anyone has listened to the radio, looked out the window of their car driving around or watched any TV in the last 4 years you can see we have one heck of a wrecked ass economy and the drunk captain behind the ship steering it leading to zero consumer confidence is what the deal is. If sells are signficantly down enough for them to be shipping bikes over every other year then R&D will suffer along side that.

Paint and stickers make all the difference in the world. They took away the fast colors and detuned it by removing stickers. So on a TFATF Dyno, the 11 is down about 30 HP.
