2012 Hyperbike (Hayabusa, ZX14, S1000RR)

HAYABUSA LOOKS BETTER AND TO ME IS KING OVER ALL LOOKS, ARROW DYNAMICS, HANDLING, AND TWISTY CARVING.....:moon::lala:
Arrow .. :) Aerodynamics is a little better word .. It has not being proven that the Gen 2 busa is Better than the Gen 2 ZX14R Aerodynamics.. It most likely is better but like the Gen 1 Zx14 Vs the Busa the difference was very little .. Fact was the ZX10 was better than both of them ..

One last item , why are you yelling at us ? Cap lock button is on the left side of the keyboard .. :beerchug:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ... I like the ZX14R looks , i also like the Busa looks .. Gen 1 better that Gen 2 busa but i still like both .. I say LIKE but not LOVE the looks of either one of them .. I'm kind of old school and love the look of the 1999 to 2005 ZRXs and the early 80s GS bikes .. Something about them old nude bikes i just love .. My old ZRX 1200R was sweet and not all that slow either .. 9.40s on pump gas ..

I don't beleive the zx10 is better today and it was 3rd in line a few years ago. Will have to see tunnel numbers to beleive it. Do a search at sh.org. Back in 06.. a busa,gix1000,zx14 and zx10 was taken to a wind tunnel facility in North Carolina. It went like this...Hayabusa,gixxer1000,zx10 then zx14.Some called the 14 a brick threw the wind.I'm not gonna get technical with worthless crap, cause that's what it is to the normal rider. But it went like this on a 200mph scale....took the gix1000 less than 2rwhp "more" to do what the busa would do.The zx10 needed 4 more rwhp and 14 6 more rwhp......Nothing bust threw the air like a busa..Suzuki claims the gen2 is better, but we haven't seen any number to back it up.BUT....the hp the gen2 puts to the ground is less...even with mr12...it's still less than what the results says, the gen1 needs just to hit 200,and the gen2 has done it several time in just a mile....but that's really means nothing, just an observation......And I'm not busa brain dead,I have a blue 14r in the garage. But if I was gonna run LSR.It would have been a 2011 white Hayabusa.....liked the 14r on the street better....for now:laugh:

Of these "Hyperbikes" I honestly like the looks of the ZX-14 the best. My question is why am I running faster 1/4 mile times (10.032 @ 144 mph) on a gen 1 busa? Stock gearing and lowered 1" in the rear??? I am by no means a professional racer and will never claim to be, but I would think if I can get a 10.032 in a gen 1 that is dynoed at 149 hp then a gen 2 should have no problem getting close to the 9.5 mark. The BMW should be way down due to the lack of weight. All 3 have amazing numbers, but they are not very impressive to me in comparison to my bike that has less power.

Oh yeah those time are also on a bike with 61,000 miles, which makes the 3 being compared look even worse lol

I do remember that story .. Dave O did the testing .. If i remember right the busa worked even better with the hump removed ( just the seat on the bike ) .. I think it was also noted that rider size, and tuck had lot to do with the numbers .. Anyway it was a very good write up .. I would love someone to test all the new bikes and see how it shakes out today .. Good news is the New ZX14R has busted the 200 MPH mark at the Ohio mile with a female non pro rider ..

I think we all need to keep in mind that just because the guys doing the writing are good writers they are NOT drag races .. These guys spend little or no time at the drag strip and their numbers are going to be slow no matter what bike you put them on .. Take anyone with some drag skills and put them on a gen 1 busa and they will run faster than the numbers these guys posted ..

seems the busa makes its power and torque ata lower RPM than the others. thats a plus .

All that comparison tells me is that the liter class bikes have really moved on in terms of power , performance and packaging. A motor that is a good 350 cc smaller but still out gunning the big boys says alot about how technology had developed and the old saying of " there is no replacement for displacement " losing some of its shine. We like the busa and are passionate about it. But there is no denying that both the kawa and the bmw are superior products in terms of performance and packaging.. I dont think we should feel bad considering we have a 4 year old product getting compared to a product that is 4 months old and one which is 2 years old. They learned from us , time we learn something from them now.
