Welcome to Season 18 of Pashnit Motorcycle Tours
First ride of the season: We are headed for Death Valley
To get to Death Valley, we meet in the California Central Valley, riders roll in the night before from NorCal & SoCal, and then we head across the Sierra Nevada Range to near the Nevada Border where Death Valley is located.
Couple years ago, you would have had to twist my arm to get me to Death Valley, it's a desert, why would anyone want to go there?
But it's a national park because it's a very cool place, the color of the rocks, the wide open views. Very cool place, and odd extremes. In August 2020, Death Valley hit 130 degrees which as a new all time high. Our visit was not so crazy, March is a great time to go to Death Valley. Although extremes are the norms. Highest ever recorded there is 134, and the irony is tourists flock there during crazy high temperatures.
