2024 GSXR1000 update

I was born in East Germany, the former GDR. I have lived in Bavaria since 1989, about 140 kilometers from Nuremberg. But I have many friends and acquaintances spread all over the country and was in the field for 15 years, so I visited almost every region in Germany. It is precisely because of this that one notices the gradual but increasingly serious change here in the country. It really goes so far that I advise my children to leave the country after they graduate or finish their studies. USA, Canada, New Zealand...there are such beautiful places in the world. You have to work hard there too, luck doesn't just lie on the street there either, but I still think the quality of life there is better!

We once had free speech and freedom of opinion, we are suffocating in refugees, our social system is slowly collapsing, our asylum policy is a complete failure. The energy costs can hardly be borne by companies and people, company bankruptcies everywhere you look, a slow de-industrialization is taking place here. All of this led by politicians, some of whom don't even have a high school diploma. When a children's book author is placed in front of you as Minister for Economic Affairs, you know what's wrong with the country.

When I think of the "old" Germany, with its quality of life, its strong economy, the good roads, the well-kept cities... It somehow makes me sad. In addition, there is the radical thinking of the eco-parties that is pure illusion carried out at the expense of the taxpayer. I bet many who have been stationed here before and know the quiet, friendly and warm Germany...would not recognize the place.

If I were 20 years younger and had no children, I would have left here long ago. Here you can't even hang a German flag in the garden without being immediately called a Nazi. What would an American say if someone criticized him for raising a flag?

Well, the hostile attitude towards motorcyclists is no coincidence. We defend ourselves against electromobility, we don't allow ourselves to be educated like the typical German car driver was. Who already diligently buys these overpriced battery buckets. We still rave about the sound, character and fun of a petrol engine. Something that is not wanted in Germany! So??? Only one thing helps, to constantly point out to us with controls and prohibitions that we are not wanted.
I spent some time in Germany in the '80s and I concur, it was a very good experience, the countryside was beautiful and the people very gracious and friendly...

I went there several times over the years mainly as layovers on flights to other places and I have noted a distinct change in the people and how they think. I used to work with a few guys from the German special forces and they said the same thing as you do....

So much so they were looking at other options in other countries.....

I was just going to say the same thing. Open borders, gang robberies allowed, migrants everywhere, migrant children going to school with taxpayers' money, political opponents being jailed. Add to that increased gun homicides, and a President who is way past retirement.
The problem with us is that we have people in the political leadership who deny reality. In addition, they have such a panic fear of being called Nazis with every measure against unregulated migration that they let everything happen.

If they were real refugees looking for a new home, a job, a better life, I wouldn't mind. I would even use my tax money to pay for the education of the migrant children, because education is damn important for integration. BUT we have here masses of male, young migrants from countries like Eritrea or Afghanistan or Syria and Iraq. Countries where you shouldn't even get asylum with us, but they don't care. ID cards are lost, there is no proof, their home countries don't take them back and we have hundreds of thousands of people here who shouldn't be there and don't want to adapt either! The children are not sent to school or if they are, they don't speak a word of German and the parents don't want it either. Subcultures are formed here, whole areas where everything German is openly rejected, except of course for the lavish social benefits!

We have an extreme housing problem in Germany, too few apartments are being built, the bureaucracy is too extreme and the energy costs are far too high, many construction companies go bankrupt or only build luxury apartments.

Here old people are thrown out of retirement homes to make refugee homes out of them! The aim here is that older people who have apartments that are too large should vacate them for refugees. Tenants are being evicted from their apartments, where they have been living for 20 years, because the landlord for refugees receives double the rent from the state. This is extreme social fuel.

Very few want to work, the hordes of young men, mostly from Eritrea etc., rape German girls every day, even girls under 12. The press sweeps this under the table, mass rapes are the order of the day here. The perpetrators, who have repeatedly raped women, are acquitted or given probation with the argument "You're in a football club, that's successful integration". What should that tell us? 85% receive social benefits and do not go to work. The attacks/murders with knives increase from day to day, but a connection must not be shown, otherwise you are a Nazi.

It is constantly explained that they are families, but 75% of them are young, violent men who think they can take everything here, including women or girls. The state does not even stop child marriages and invokes "respect for cultural views". The news is silent about almost everything! The only thing they couldn't keep silent about was the outdoor pools in big cities, because there are mass rapes, mass brawls, as a German you're beaten up by hordes of Muslim men or your wife/daughter is molested. The list is endless, our state is in its final stages, politics is doing nothing and then you don't understand why people in the country are rethinking more and more and voting for radical parties themselves? Can you really be that stupid? To endure all this crap, you only have your motorcycle to clear your head. Well, and that...they want to put you down and bully you.

Which brings us back to the topic that the manufacturers...we also SUzuki know exactly why they are not establishing any new models or a better dealer network here. They're not blind either.

Supersports will not be the future, the sales market is too small for that, and certainly in Europe. Euro 5 kills high-performance supersport. There was a Euro 4, there is now a Euro 5, sooner or later there will be a Euro 6.
That Suzuki has to come up with something to celebrate their 40th anniversary of the GSXR is almost certain, but I don't think it will be revolutionary? There are no ambitions to return to racing.
I even like this one

A similar thing is occurring across the globe....the modern immigrant who comes to North America for the most part has no interest in integrating into western society or culture....in most cases they band together and form sub-culture communities where they speak their native language and don't embrace the language of the country..

Here in Canada it is problematic as we have a province that is French and not bilingual-French is their language and many new immigrants don't want to speak it but are flooding the province.

Add to this the downfall of organized Christian religion where many churches sit empty and are being converted into mosques....I read that somewhere in the US the Islamic groups are conducting "call to prayer" the same as they do in Muslim based countries and there are a few place in Canada where Islamic groups are lobbying for this as well....

My cousin in Calgary told me an affluent neighborhood near her was bought up by Muslim people and the church was converted to a mosque and they do "call to prayer" in that mosque, she said during Ramadan it is constant.....a house was for sale in the neighborhood and a non-Muslim attempted to purchase it but was blocked from doing so as they formed a sort of HOA......my cousin thinks she heard they have their own version of "Shira Law" working over there too.

Never in my dreams would I have ever thought this would be a reality here in Canada.....

The world is changing and evolving.....

Holy crap, we sure went a long way off topic here....my apologies to @jellyrug

suzuki has stopped tech for prob 5years i cant see any improvements to the GSXR models, Ducati, aprilla, ktm, bmw have flown off to play with themselves. yamaha have kept up and wana play with them. the current crop of big $$ superbikes are dream machines
still the gsxr is great bike and takes a lot of balls to ride it to the max

:crazy:It looks like nothing has been changed
Suzuki Cycles - 2024 GSX-R1000R

Nope, not yet...but at least it lives on.
With 11k miles on the '18 Gsxr1k, and alot of mods so far, the bike is still incredible.
It is by far the quickest naturally aspirated thing I've ridden, and without boost, no other bike is going to walk away from it, and will be lucky to edge it out.
