26 motorcycle accident

You also have the responsibility to maintain the flow of traffic. If the suv stepped on the brakes to get them to back off then a tap shouldve sufficed. If its really that big of a deal then pull over. The guys on the bikes may be guilty of not driving defensively but that seems to be about it. Don't know how many times I've closed a gap to pass and got a lil close or thought it was clear and had to let out. Can happen to the best.

Oh, and they were also group riding the wrong way. They should have been staggered in one second or more intervals so they would have a two second minimum warning if the bike directly in front of them braked. That's the way I group ride, and it has saved my bacon on one occasion.

Yep....2 seconds and staggered while looking 4 seconds ahead, they taught this in the Motorcycle safety class in the group ridding portion.

now how did this get here... doh... sorry wrong thread

most likely has a salvage title.. check the laws in your state concerning re-license (some states prohibit) and with your insurance co. (some will not insure)..

3G for salvage bike that needs fixed? nothing to get all that excited about but with the repair parts? might be worth looking at.. do not get too excited till you do a bit of leg work .. If you gotta spend $$ to fix this thing, it is going to snowball

I would also want the stock swingarm back on the thing.. these bikes do not respond well if you like to turn corners with the stretch.. might look cool but they can get you in trouble really fast if you get into technical rides..

PICS?????

Just a guess; but I think this was meant for a different thread!

Clear example of how helmets wouldn't of matter. The brains weren't working properly to begin with. I can possible see a couple, BUT... that many motorcycles?

I have a friend that rides "Ponch and John" style in groups. (Love that btw, I'm going to tell him that next time! )
They were in "column formation" and according to the article:
On the Brother Speed website, it's self-described as "a club that is serious about brotherhood, respect, riding fast and building Choppers."

Fast + not enough room=accident.

Hope they learn, hope they heal.
