300+ Miles Today on New Michelin Pilot Pure

2lbs lighter each.

Remarkable, really.

I think you'll find Michelin's statement as 2lbs per set. However, they don't specify 2lbs lighter than what? Nor do they give you the tire's actual weight.

Strange, eh?

These new michelins may be great tires but if they are anything like their predicessors (PP & PP2ct) they will be quite sensitive to airpressure.

Will be interesting to see how those hold up for you Scar. Please keep us informed!

I'm envious of your warm sunny days. Ideal riding weather for sure. Makes me wish I lived a bit farther south!

That's what I'm interested to know.

Of course, the ones I put on the 06LE will last a LONG time. I'll probably burn through a couple of sets on the '08 before these ever get chewed up.

Anyway, I'll definitely report my findings...:beerchug:

I'm sure we will see this new tire showing up at the track soon. Should get some feedback for sure!

One of the guys in my crew (Gixxer 750) rode them on the track.

I'll get his impression and post it here for anyone interested. :beerchug:

I'm glad you like them,Scar. I ran PP 2CT's last year and loved them. There's a set of Pures right here beside me that are going on in a couple of days. :beerchug::thumbsup:

I'll be eager for your comments, too!!!

In advance, congrats on the purchase of a very capable upgrade.

Nice! I wish I could have spanked my new Pure as well, but she is still spankin new on the bike. :(

You are a lucky man Scar! Maybe if the weather holds up and you are still in town this weekend we could head up to Prescott or the Grand Canyon on sunday.

Sooo....what I wanna know about, is how about that BMW 1000RR I see in those pics?

No DYL on Montezuma! EVER! I did that once and got an award for it! Not far from that very stretch, in fact. The car in this video actually pulled off the road to allow us to pass.

Good to see you out having fun. I noticed the usual fun loving hoons were in tow. Good Show! Not far from that very location!?!? LOL! I think that was the officers POV when I failed to check the over watch position prior to winding out 2nd gear prior to the left handed hairpin. Funny, that my lame comment to the LEO that day was I was testing out some new tires, which of course was true to fact. Seem to remember a good friend was there right along with me. :poke:

Two people in the crew now have it. Reports are that it's a screamer. Very capable.

Lightweight, flickable...bet they'll be singing the woe-song when it comes to the general turn-around and cost of service.

Where was I???????:banghead::banghead::banghead:
I can't wait to wear out these BT's and get a set of Pures.
I am a sad clown indeed. I still Keeel You, But a sad clown I am.

I remember that day well... In fact, I remember all my awards well. And that the Governor saw fit to award us all that day was absolutely memorable...

Very nice to see you here, Gilman. All other messages well received. We need to acknowledge the time-zone difference 'tween here and Japan...just for reference.

Look forward to a full down-load. :beerchug:

One of the SoCal peeps just told me they're predicting rain for the coast this weekend, Jason; which means I'll probably stay in Phx. Let's finally hook up that story.

Is the michelin pure more of a track tire than a street tire geting my tires tomorrow so i need to know so i can get the 2ct then

I think they're marketing it to be a very capable cross-performer, Jim. I don't know how many miles it's going to be good for...but that'll be the primary deciding factor for me, for future purchases.

If I can get approximately the same number of miles out of them as I have the Road2s and 2CTs, then by all means, I'm going with Phat Goo on the sides.

:beerchug:

Try 'em and see! I love 'em this far!
